What If the Northwoods Got a Lake Country Makeover?
Okay, THIS is my kind of compromise.

You get the long tree lined drive. You get the woods. You get the lake. You get that wonderful feeling that maybe nobody can find you unless you want them to. But instead of driving three hours north and arriving at a cabin where the décor has not changed since 1987, you are on Lower Nashotah Lake.
And the house is gorgeous.
This is basically what happens when Northwoods energy gets a very chic Lake Country makeover.
You have more than an acre, 100 feet of lake frontage, your own pier, and trees everywhere. The setting feels private enough that you could absolutely convince yourself you have escaped civilization.
Then you walk inside.
Huge windows frame the lake from all three levels. The main living space is bright and open, with warm wood details that keep it from feeling like one of those modern houses where you are afraid to touch anything.
And can we talk about the primary bedroom?
Because waking up to that wall of windows and that lake view feels borderline unreasonable.
The house is new construction, but I like that it did not forget where it is. There is wood. There is texture. There are views everywhere. It feels connected to the landscape instead of dropped on top of it.
And then there are the decks.
Multiple decks.
Because again, if I am buying a lake house, I want to be OUTSIDE AT THE LAKE. Morning coffee. Dinner. A cocktail. Absolutely nothing productive whatsoever. I would like options.
The full walkout lower level gives you even more room to spill outside, and the forever pier means the lake is not just something pretty to look at from the living room.
Best part?
You get all of this peaceful, private, up north feeling without actually having to go up north. I 94, restaurants, shopping, and the rest of Lake Country are right there.
So yes, technically this is Lower Nashotah Lake.
But emotionally?
We went up north.
We just brought better countertops.
